Using a USD business account like Adro can save money when receiving Etsy US seller payments by avoiding currency conversion fees. If you receive payments directly in USD, you eliminate the need for Etsy or your bank to convert the funds into your local currency, which often comes with unfavorable exchange rates and additional fees.
Setting up your account details on Etsy
When opening your shop, add your bank details on the How you’ll get paid page.
To update your bank details after your shop is open:
On Etsy.com, select Shop Manager. If you're using the Etsy Seller app, select More.
Choose Finances.
Select Payment settings.
Use Plaid’s Instant option to quickly verify your details by entering your online banking username and password, or use Plaid’s Manual option to verify your bank with a test deposit after entering your bank account and routing numbers.
If you can’t find Adro in Plaid’s search, you can still manually verify your account with test deposits. Choose Link with account numbers on the Plaid screen where you see an error message or no results when searching for your bank. You can also choose Manual instead of Instant on Plaid’s first screen.
