How to close or delete an Adro account (self-serve)
You can close or deactivate your account at anytime. To close an account, you must have a $0.00 balance. Please ensure you have transferred all funds to another account before proceeding:
Login to your Adro account using a web browser
From the dashboard, click on 'Settings,' then 'Preferences'
Click 'Close account,' then select the account you wish to close.
Self-serve account deletion is currently only available on desktop web, and not through the Adro mobile app.
If you're experiencing any issues with deleting an account, please contact our support team via chat.
Preparing to close an account
Before closing your Adro account, please review and/or complete the following to ensure a smooth transition. We're sorry to see you go.
If you have initiated a transfer into Adro, please wait for the money to arrive before contacting us to close your account.
If you have any scheduled or upcoming transactions (such as monthly payments to streaming services like Netflix or Amazon Prime, or rent or car payments), be sure to cancel them. If needed, you can schedule these payments in your new bank account.
You can simplify the account closure process by linking an external US bank account to Adro, and withdrawing any available funds to your other account.
If you have set up direct deposit with an employer, ensure you update your payroll account details with them. This will minimize the risk of any interruptions or delays in being paid.
If you had previously added an Adro card to your virtual wallet, such as Google Pay or Apple Pay, remember to delete it as the card will no longer work once your Adro account is closed.
Download any account statements or tax documents. Once your account is closed, these documents will no longer be available.
