Updated over a week ago

If you have an Adro Business account, you can set or edit spending limits on any business debit or credit card to manage employee spending.

You must have admin permissions on your account to make changes to card limits.

How do I set card limits?

From a web browser

  1. Log in to your Adro account and select your business

  2. Select 'Cards' and choose the card you want to update the spending limit to

  3. Under 'Available balance' select 'Set spending limit' or 'Edit card limit'

  4. Once you've selected your spending limits, click 'Update limits' to save changes

You can edit or remove limits at any time.

What happens if my account balance is lower than the card limit?

You can make purchases using your debit or credit card up to the account balance or the spending limit, whichever is lower. You cannot make a purchase that is larger than the deposit amount held in your associated account.

Example 1:

You have a debit card with a spending limit of $5,000. You currently have $120,000 in your business checking account. You can spend up to $5,000.

Example 2:

You have a debit card with a spending limit of $6,000. You currently have $4,000 in your business checking account. You can spend up to $4,000 or you can add money to your account and spend up to $6,000.

Tip: Each business debit card is associated to a business checking account. Each business credit card is associated to a business credit account.
