Adro may freeze or suspend your account for several reasons:

  1. US address not verified: This is the most common reason for freezing an account. Depending on how you signed up with Adro (e.g. as an international student or international worker), you may be required to add and verify your US address. You have 30 days to do so, and we'll send several reminders so you don't forget to complete this step.

To reinstate full account access, you'll need to login and verify your US address. You'll hear back from us within 24 hours, or earlier.

  2. Suspected illegal activity: If we suspect money laundering, terrorist financing, or writing bad checks, your account could be frozen while we investigate further.

  3. Creditor seeking payment: If a creditor obtains a judgment against you, we might freeze your account.

  4. Government request: If you have unpaid taxes or student loans, this can affect your account access.

Freezing an account is not a decision we make lightly. It is typically done as a last resort.

In general, if you are making deposits and withdrawals as a regular customer, have verified your account, and are not engaging in potential fraud, it is very unlikely you'll be faced with this issue.
