What is Plaid? Why is it used for account linking?
Updated over 4 months ago

Plaid is a service that securely connects your external US bank accounts to your Adro account. It allows you to share your account data without compromising your login credentials. By linking accounts to Adro, you can easily move money between all your US accounts.

Plaid is an American company based out of San Francisco, California.

How long does it take to link my account?

Once you’ve entered your online banking information, your account will link instantly. Rest assured, Adro does not view or access your sign in credentials.

As part of your other bank’s sign in process, you may also be asked to answer a security question or receive a one-time passcode so your bank knows it’s really you. Adro does not and cannot view or access your sign in credentials from another bank. Once your account has been successfully linked, the card number (or username) and password you entered is not stored or saved by us or Plaid in any way.

How will my banking information be used?

Linking your bank account through Plaid will help us to confirm the account belongs to you, for security purposes. Once your account has been successfully linked, the card number (or username) and password you entered will not be stored or saved by us in any way.

Is Plaid safe to use?

Is there a way to link my accounts without using Plaid?

No. The only supported way to link your other US accounts to Adro is through Plaid.

Can I link my non-US, international bank accounts to Adro using Plaid?

No. You can only link external US accounts in your name to your Adro account at this time.
